ANTIQUE SEEDER WITH NANDI MOTIF

This antique seeder with hand-carved tribal motifs of deities and bull is a  beautiful ode to our agrarian society.

Seeders, usually made of teak wood are one of the sowing tools used in Central India. These are used in Agriculture to sow seeds in the plowed field. The tribal motifs on this seeder make it a rare folk art piece. These seeders connected with 4-5 pipes to sow seeds in as many rows are simultaneously used along with the plows pulled by bullocks.

These seeders are ornately hand-carved and decorated. Once used by farmers in Agriculture, these artifacts are now rare collectibles. This beautiful piece makes a simple yet stunning statement placed anywhere.
